Our winter play, A Child Christmas in Wales, relates the Christmas memories of a young boy. Based on the author, Dylan Thomas's own reminisces about his childhood, it is both nostalgic and comical. ES Drama Class
At FDIS, Drama class is considered as a vital part of our curriculum. We believe that drama instills creativity and self-expression as well as nourishes the imagination. It can teach a child to 'think outside the box', which is a great skill for future success. Drama helps children to think, to both stand out from the crowdandto work within a group. One of the most important skills it brings is an increased level of self-confidence.在FDIS，戲劇課被視為我們課程的一部分。我們相信戲劇能夠灌輸創(chuàng)造力和自我表達(dá)，并滋養(yǎng)想象力。它可以教孩子“在盒子外思考”，這是未來(lái)努力成功的一項(xiàng)偉大技能。戲劇幫助孩子思考或幫助他們從群眾中脫穎而出并在團(tuán)隊(duì)中工作。它帶來(lái)的最重要技能之一就是提高自信心。The winter show has become a tradition in elementary school, after our head of art department at that time initiated it four years ago. Since then, every winter all the students have been gathering together, and in the coordination with the school drama teacher and the teachers from different departments, completing an annual play to ensure that every child has the opportunity to be on stage. From The Wizard of Oz to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; from Mary Poppins to this year's A Child's Christmas in Wales, our students have been growing up with drama.
四年前，校前任藝術(shù)組負(fù)責(zé)人成功開(kāi)展冬季戲劇表演后，小學(xué)戲劇表演就成為了小學(xué)的傳統(tǒng)。每年冬天，所有學(xué)生都會(huì)聚集在一起，并在學(xué)校戲劇老師和不同部門(mén)的老師的配合下，每年完成一次戲劇演出，確保每個(gè)孩子都有展現(xiàn)自我的機(jī)會(huì)。從《綠野仙蹤》到《查理和巧克力工廠》；從《歡樂(lè)滿(mǎn)人間》到今年的《威爾士的兒童圣誕節(jié)》，我們的學(xué)生一直在成長(zhǎng)。
FDIS ToursFDIS has regular admission inquiry days for prospective students and parents on every Friday. The session details as below:?
Elementary School session (G1-5)
Time: 9:30-11:30
The Secondary School session (G6-12)
Time: 1:00-3:00.
During the session, you will have a chance to talk with our admissions officer, to have a tour and see how our students learn in classroom.
