2 Students are often focused on their future careers than engaging in the moment.

3 Texas is big on cars, and Houston's public transportation is underdeveloped. As a result, parking at Rice is very limited, and the parking enforcement is notoriously strict.

4 Each college throws similar parties every year. Although this isn't a problem for some, others may find the social scene repetitive.

5 Professors are demanding, and it's often difficult to achieve A's without having to pull all-nighters on a regular basis.

6 Sometimes, you can get stuck in only the social scene of your residential college.
