Overview
本學(xué)期，我們?nèi)诤喜康膶W(xué)子也沿著自己的道路，追隨著自己的夢(mèng)想向前邁進(jìn)了一步。去年十一月，融合部中學(xué)的同學(xué)們參加了AMC美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)。在本月，他們終于收獲了自己辛勤勞動(dòng)的果實(shí)。共有三位同學(xué)獲得了全球前5%的好成績(jī)。信心，努力，堅(jiān)持，都是成功路上缺一不可的因素。讓我們恭喜這幾位同學(xué)，向他們學(xué)習(xí), 共同進(jìn)步, 共創(chuàng)未來(lái)。This semester, our students in the Integrated Department have also taken a step forward along their own path, following their dreams. Last November, 20 students participated in the American Mathematics Competition（AMC）. And in this month, they finally harvest the fruit of their hard work. At total of three students got the top 5% of the world's, they are:

Introduction
American Mathematics Contest，美國(guó)中學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)科考試，是世界上目前信度和效度最高的數(shù)學(xué)科考試。此項(xiàng)測(cè)驗(yàn)已獲美國(guó)中學(xué)校長(zhǎng)推介為每年的主要活動(dòng)之一。AMC不但是美國(guó)頂尖數(shù)學(xué)人才的人才庫(kù)，更為學(xué)校提供了解申請(qǐng)入學(xué)者在數(shù)學(xué)科目上的學(xué)習(xí)成就與表現(xiàn)評(píng)估的途徑。AMC成功地為許多學(xué)生因測(cè)驗(yàn)成績(jī)優(yōu)良而進(jìn)入理想學(xué)校提供了證據(jù)。
American Mathematics Contest is the most reliable and valid math test in the world. The test has been recommended as one of the major activities of the year by the principals of American high schools. AMC is not only a pool of top mathematicians in the United States, but also provides schools with an assessment of the academic achievements and performance of applicants in math subjects. AMC has succeeded in getting many students into ideal schools because of their excellent test results.

Acceptance Speech
本次AMC8，我拿到了全球前5%的好成績(jī)。我很自豪，通過(guò)多年的努力，終于結(jié)成了果實(shí)，同時(shí)我也要感謝老師的教導(dǎo)與父母的栽培。但同時(shí)我也認(rèn)識(shí)到了自己還有許多需要提升的地方。明年，一定要更加發(fā)奮圖強(qiáng)，努力爭(zhēng)取更佳的成績(jī)，為學(xué)校爭(zhēng)光。

I think I owe this award according to the accumulation since my childhood, which has laid a solid foundation for my mathematics study. In fact, the preparation before this competition is not particularly adequate, which resulted my deficiencies during the examination. But I have an ability to transfer which can help me to use all skills I learned flexibly to resolve problems. AMC 10 will be coming which is more difficult and challenging, but I’m not going to step on the battlefield unprepared. I will continue to move forward on.

參加AMC8已經(jīng)不是第一次了，但卻是第一次拿獎(jiǎng)。在這之前是3年堅(jiān)持不懈的學(xué)習(xí)和嘗試。當(dāng)聽(tīng)到拿到了全球5%的獲獎(jiǎng)消息時(shí)，我心中充滿(mǎn)了自豪和感激，感激輔導(dǎo)我的董拓老師，在過(guò)去的3年內(nèi)不辭辛苦地給我們上課，她的辛勤付出我也銘記在心。我不像別人，擁有深厚的數(shù)學(xué)知識(shí)功底，全靠后天努力，但通過(guò)這次的經(jīng)歷，我知道了，“機(jī)會(huì)永遠(yuǎn)是留給有準(zhǔn)備的人”。
