Reflection on HS Sex Education|高中性教育反思

After the Sex Education seminar for Middle School students, FDIS held another session for High School students. What do the students think of this kind of education? Let‘s read the following reflection from one of our high school kids.

繼針對初中生的性教育工作坊之后，我校又舉辦了一場針對高中生的性教育工作坊。學(xué)生對于這些教育環(huán)節(jié)的反響究竟如何？讓我們一起來讀一讀這篇來自高中生的反思。

高中性教育反思

‘Lust’, a sin that absconded from the notorious Pandora’s box, animals’ most primitive desire, seems to be a forbidden zone for teenagers to ever step in. Yet while our physical body and spiritual mentality mature, proper sex education is a matter of urgency as it enables a true and respectful sexual relationship. Otherwise, it will be an incubator for the seeds of discrimination and misunderstanding throughout our puberty.

“性”，這一從臭名昭著的潘多拉盒子中潛逃出來的罪惡，這一動物最原始的欲望，似乎是青少年永遠(yuǎn)不該涉足的禁區(qū)。然而，當(dāng)我們的身體和精神狀態(tài)趨向成熟時，適當(dāng)?shù)男越逃仍诿冀?，因為性教育能?dǎo)向健康、互相尊重的兩性關(guān)系。否則，性將成為我們青春期歧視和誤解的孵化器。

Engaging with the ideology of sexual liberation as well as a thoughtful purpose of educating the youngsters about a field novel to most of them, Shanghai’s pioneering international school Fudan International School made its first step in a school-wise sex education workshop. Conducted by the ELG organization’s Ms. Sarah Bilodeau, who brings expertise in the field of trauma therapy, the whole activity – which took place on March 15th – turned out to be extraordinary and effective in terms of its overall response.

作為附屬于公立學(xué)校卻極具開創(chuàng)精神的國際學(xué)校——復(fù)旦附中國際部，以直面兩性關(guān)系為理念，邁出了學(xué)校性教育工作坊的第一步，并培養(yǎng)青少年對全新關(guān)系的深入思考。性教育工作坊由ELG組織的Sarah Bilodeau女士主持，活動于3月15日開始，她帶來了心理治療領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)知識，在學(xué)生群體中反響熱烈。

During Ms. Sarah’s discussion about relationships specifically, the crowd of our fellow students immediately found it resonant. Feeling personally connected to the situation presented, we were more than anxious to find out whether our problematic commonality could be resolved rationally, and indeed the advice she gave was constructive and considerate.

在Sarah Bilodeau女士討論人際關(guān)系的時候，我們的同學(xué)們感到感同身受。我們覺得自己與目前的形勢息息相關(guān)，也非常想知道我們共同存在的問題是否能夠得到合理的解決，而她給出的建議極具建設(shè)性，也十分周全。

?Studio MustangsNevertheless, on the other side of the coin, she wasn’t able to share important information on the physical distinctions within two sexes. As mass media has over-exposed us to the colored information of adulthood, what we probably need most is education on physical respect and understanding. Sexual inequalities— in schools especially—are mostly hatched from the misinterpretation of physical sexual differences. Prevailing as these discriminations have been, the instillation of such education, if presented in a rigorous way, should be promoted in such a lecture as well.

然而，她并不能分享關(guān)于兩性身體差異的資料。如今，大眾媒體令我們不得不過多接觸某些成人的有色信息，因此我們最需要的可能是對身體的尊重和理解。兩性的不平等（尤其是在學(xué)校中的不平等），主要是由于對身體性別差異的誤解而產(chǎn)生的。由于存在這些歧視，所以在講座中以嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、科學(xué)的方式進(jìn)行理念灌輸也是十分必要的。

?Studio MustangsOverall, Fudan International School has taken a monumental step towards the creation of a healthy school environment. I believe more such activities should be proposed, and only through embracing righteous minds can we ever grow up to be mature and independent individuals.

總的來說，復(fù)旦附中國際部因此朝著創(chuàng)建健康學(xué)校環(huán)境的目標(biāo)又邁出了一大步。我相信未來將會有更多類似的活動，因為只有通過孕育正確的思想，我們才能成長為成熟和獨(dú)立的個體。
