化學課程的設置包含三大塊面:物理化學、無機化學和有機化學,并對學生動手操作實驗的能力有一定要求。英國高中階段的化學課程對學生的學科理解有一定挑戰,主要的難點包括但不僅限于背誦內容多、語言要求高、有機化學不入門以及實驗操作困難,不會寫結論。
實際上所有的難點在化學這門課可以總結為兩個原因:一、學習過程中知識體系建立有疏漏,根基不扎實;二、學習方法不正確導致遲遲不能入門。只要從一開始選對方法,化學的學習會比其他學科更加充滿樂趣。化學專業除了是申請化學、生物、醫藥類專業必修課之外,也是所有理工科類專業非??粗氐囊婚T成績。
