David Thornton 是一位來自悉尼的軟件工程師。這個24歲的小哥在新南威爾士大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)計算機工程和法律。二月中旬，他結(jié)束自己在歐洲的學(xué)習(xí)，打算在美國稍作停留，再回到澳大利亞。

但是他從新澤西紐瓦克機場入境的時候，海關(guān)官員問他的問題可是讓人莫名其妙。過關(guān)的時候，電視里就一直在循環(huán)播放CNN報道的特朗普的移民禁令，海關(guān)的隊伍移動得也比較緩慢。

輪到David的時候，海關(guān)官員開始問一些常規(guī)問題，比如以前有沒有來過美國，這次打算呆幾天，來美國做什么。

David說，他回答完這些常規(guī)問題以后，感覺海關(guān)官員快放行了，于是拿起自己的包，準(zhǔn)備進入美國。

這時候，海關(guān)官員問了David最后一個問題，“你做什么工作的”？David回答自己是一個碼農(nóng)。然后這位官員問David會不會Python。David回答說Python和C語言、Java一樣，是一種比較常用的編程語言。

緊接著，海關(guān)官員拋出一個David從沒想到自己會被問的問題。海關(guān)官員說，“我自己在寫一個程序，遇到了點困難，你能幫幫我么？”David瞬間就愣住了，不知道該怎么回答。

海關(guān)官員還真就照著電腦開始讀題，David感覺自己可能被他“玩弄”了，但是因為急著入關(guān)，只能聽命于他。對方還給了他筆和紙，真的就跟考試一樣。

據(jù)David說，這名海關(guān)官員看起來是中上層的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，他們的對話并沒有被任何人聽到。他只能被迫回答對方的“編程測試”。David說，雖然并不是Google面試題那種級別的測試，但是肯定也算是一場“小考”了。

最終，David還是被放行了，并開始了在紐約的吃吃玩玩之旅。回想起這件事，他覺得很奇怪，不知道為什么自己的職業(yè)會成為一個“問題點”。

David感嘆美國的STEAM教育，他沒想到一名海關(guān)官員居然都對編程如此了解。因此，最后他還給所有要去美國的小伙伴們提了個醒，進入美國前別忘了復(fù)習(xí)復(fù)習(xí)你的編程知識。

美國海關(guān)官員經(jīng)常會問出一下讓人莫名其妙的問題。

美國海關(guān)官員隸屬于美國海關(guān)及邊境保衛(wèi)局（U.S. Customs and Border Protection，簡稱CBP）, 他們的主要任務(wù)就是防止恐怖分子和恐怖武器進入美國。

申請成為CBP的職員對于專業(yè)背景沒有限制，但歸究于美國的STEAM教育是教育當(dāng)中非常重要的部分。這也是為什么有些海關(guān)官員會寫代碼的原因。
