At Shanghai American School, we have an enviable Artistsin Residence program. But there’s one program, designed by and for SAS, where the artists in residence are our own students.

在上海美國學校，我們擁有一個令人羨慕的藝術家駐場項目。不過，上海美國學校還為自己的學生們設計了另外一個項目。在這個項目中，駐場藝術家就是我們自己的學生。

A.i.R Jingdezhen, one of the signature programs at SAS, enables middle school students from the Pudong campus to visit Jingdezhen in China’s Jiangxi Province. Jingdezhen is known as the Porcelain Capital, and here, students spend an experiential week talking with local artists, planning their projects, and documenting their journey along the way. The students are enriched with new techniques and knowledge of the area’s history, and the rest of the world is enriched with at least one new piece of original art.

作為上海美國學校的標志性項目之一，“藝術家駐場景德鎮”項目讓上海美國學校浦東校區的中學生能夠參觀中國江西省景德鎮。景德鎮是著名的“瓷都”。學生們會進行為一周的體驗，與當地藝術家交流，規劃他們的項目，記錄他們的旅程。學生們學到了新技巧，了解了當地的歷史，制作出了原創藝術作品。
