「Reminder」Juilliard Workshop for Parents | Salla Saarikangas

We are honoured to welcome Salla Saarikangas from Juilliard on Thursday 14th November. Salla is a dancer and choreographer, who will be visiting the school to work with students and teachers on the Juilliard dance curriculum.

We have an exciting opportunity for parents to gain more understanding and experience of what the Juilliard programme looks like in action by inviting you to take part in a practical workshop with Salla from 8.30am to 9.15am. She will introduce you to Juilliard’s innovative ideas and lead you through a practical flamenco workshop in the style of the current Year 3 and 4 collaboration. The lesson will be lots of fun and there is no need to have any dance experience to take part!

Salla Saarikangas, Dance Curriculum specialist, hails from Helsinki, Finland. Trained at Balettakademien, Stockholm, she received her MA from the City University of New York and is also a Certified Movement Analyst and Labanotator.

Salla has served on the dance faculties of Tanssivintti (Finland), Connecticut College and Queens College. Her extensive work for Lincoln Center Education ranges from New York City public schools to international teaching artist training. She has been working for The Juilliard School since 2016.
