“楓”言“楓”語(yǔ)——經(jīng)歷讓成長(zhǎng)綻放

南方的冬天總是來(lái)的靜悄悄,夜晚的一場(chǎng)小雨,幾片寒霜,冬天便已來(lái)到。但不得不說(shuō)，此刻，我的內(nèi)心卻是一片暖陽(yáng)。從開(kāi)學(xué)到現(xiàn)在，我一直秉承“多參與，多收獲，多成長(zhǎng)”的原則，在這里努力著，奔跑著。

楓葉一直在幫助學(xué)生搭建展示的舞臺(tái)，而我，正在努力把握每一次機(jī)會(huì)。Spelling Bee、“21世紀(jì)杯”英語(yǔ)演講比賽、學(xué)生會(huì)競(jìng)選、合唱比賽、開(kāi)學(xué)典禮的太極展示、社團(tuán)納新活動(dòng)等等。在這其中，“21世紀(jì)杯”英語(yǔ)演講比賽讓我在踐行中成長(zhǎng)最多。

當(dāng)Ally老師推薦我報(bào)名參加“21世紀(jì)杯”英語(yǔ)演講比賽時(shí)，我既興奮又忐忑。興奮是因?yàn)椋蠋熛嘈盼遥o我展示的舞臺(tái)，鍛煉我的英語(yǔ)演講水平。忐忑是因?yàn)椋枰妹摳宓姆绞窖葜v，我也質(zhì)疑自己真的可以做到嗎？

我深知“臺(tái)上一分鐘，臺(tái)下十年功”，這句話講起來(lái)容易，做起來(lái)難。在寫海選初稿的過(guò)程中，我也確實(shí)遇到了很多困難，很多句子我不知道應(yīng)該如何用地道的英語(yǔ)單詞表達(dá)出來(lái)，不確定一些語(yǔ)法該怎么正確使用。

但是這些困難并沒(méi)有擊垮我，反而讓我有了邊學(xué)習(xí)邊實(shí)踐的動(dòng)力，經(jīng)過(guò)我和外教老師的一遍遍交流修改之后，終于定下了海選的初稿。

當(dāng)然，初稿的完成只是成功了一半，我的語(yǔ)感并不好，而演講是需要好的語(yǔ)感和自信支撐的。在我最困難的時(shí)候，老師和家長(zhǎng)的建議和支持給了我很大的幫助，最終我通過(guò)了演講比賽的海選，進(jìn)入了復(fù)賽。

現(xiàn)在的我已經(jīng)參加完了演講比賽的復(fù)賽，但我依然記得在這個(gè)過(guò)程中老師對(duì)我說(shuō)的一句話：“比賽結(jié)果固然重要，但最重要的是你在比賽中經(jīng)歷的過(guò)程。”
自從參加了這個(gè)活動(dòng)，我對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)更加有信心了。

在學(xué)習(xí)方面我也成長(zhǎng)了不少，從小學(xué)被老師說(shuō)是一個(gè)不愛(ài)動(dòng)腦筋、懶惰的女生，現(xiàn)在到高中被老師認(rèn)為是一個(gè)努力、積極向上的孩子，我知道這就是成長(zhǎng)，而這個(gè)成長(zhǎng)是我在楓葉半學(xué)期以來(lái)最大的收獲。

現(xiàn)在的我無(wú)論是學(xué)習(xí)的技巧和方法，還是生活中不懂的東西都會(huì)和老師交流，慢慢的，我不會(huì)因?yàn)橛龅揭恍├щy就哭泣，止步不前，而是會(huì)找一些好的方法去解決問(wèn)題。就像我的復(fù)賽演講稿里寫的那樣：

“This is a small thing, but it makes me understand in the process of growing up that no matter what difficulties I will encounter in the future, I must think carefully and find the best way to do it right.”

在楓葉未來(lái)的學(xué)習(xí)和生活中，我堅(jiān)信自己會(huì)成長(zhǎng)得更好。只要我努力堅(jiān)持做了，就能得到更多的收獲，而不去行動(dòng)的人，永遠(yuǎn)也嘗不到過(guò)程中的甜。

Doing things right or doing right things

Hello, everyone. My name is Star from grade10 class 6. “Doing things right or doing right things. When I saw this topic, I was wondering what’s the difference between these two ideas. In our lives, it is important to do something in a good way, to dosomething right. There are some people who are always affected by the outside world. I encountered some difficult things in school, but in the end I used good methods to solve them. Let me explain.

When I first started school, I was determined to set up a club of my own. Everything went so smoothly, and my application was approved by my teacher. But when I heard another clubs had moved to Thursday because they couldn’t use the dance room on Wednesday, I was shocked. How could they switch? They took up my time and the dance room. Then I think since the scheduled time of the classroomoverlaps, I should ask the teacher to solve the problem. But they still insisted on using the dance room again, did not want to change the time, and finally began to quarrel. I shed tears of grievance.But after I calmed down, I realized that problems could never be solved by crying. I’m the leader of the club ,so I should take responsibility to find a right way to solve the problem.. Who started the trouble should end it.Since the time arranged by the teacher overlaps with the classroom, I should find the teacher to solve the problem.I wiped my tears, went to the teacher again and again to communicate, and finally got good communication with practical action. Adjusting the time and classroom for my team.This is a small thing, but it makes me understand in the process of growing up that no matter what difficulties I will encounter in the future, I must think carefully and find the best way to do it right.
"Speaking of doing the right thing", I would like to talk about Mr. Ren Shuliang, the founder of our school. Let's listen to his story. When Dr. Ren Shuliang attended Beijing Foreign Studies University,he couldn’t even recite the 26 English letters. During his four years in the university,while everyone else went out on weekends, he stayed in the school library and worked hard. Finally, he succeeded in achieving the same excellent academic performance as his classmates in the fourth year of college.

The days of living in Hong Kong, Dr. Ren Shuliang earned a lot of money but lost his way in life. After he moved to Canada, he found that Canadian education made his children so happy and full. In Canada,hefound that the educationalconceptswerevery good, He decided to bring such a good idea of education to China. However, to set up an international school, he met a lot of challenges such as strict regulations from.Chinese government and the education bureau, limited resources, etc. As he believes this is a right thing, he over came all difficulties.
He successfully founded Maple Leaf International School withthe initial 14 students.Later, this grew to40,000 students and 100 Maple Leaf schools indifferent regions. He enables our children in China to accept the double education of Chinese and Western cultures without leaving the country. We don't need to leave our parents and go to school When we were young. I am proud of being a maple leaf student.

“Doing things right or doing right things”, The former means that we should find a good way to do the right thing, while the latter teaches us that we should stick to what we think is right and not give up what we want to do.I believe these two ideas will help uswork effectively and efficiently.
