US News全美最佳公立高中排名介紹

每年，家長與學生們最關心的就是由US News & World Report公布的大學排名。而對于全美華人來說，全美高中排名比大學排名更加備受關注，畢竟這個排名不但關系到“學區(qū)房”，還關系到自家孩子的未來。

本周三，US News & World Report公布了2018年全美最佳高中排名，在評估全美20500所公立高中后所得出的前100名學校排名中，Bellevue International School成為了排名最高的華盛頓學校，位于全美第18位。

其中該校學生100%參與了課程考試，通過率高達94%。

位于Kirkland的International Community School在全美排名中位列35名，在州內排名中位列第二，僅次于Bellevue international school。

不過Kirkland的考試通過率雖然高達98%，但數(shù)學方面只有75%，導致CRI數(shù)值未能達到100。

高中排名的評估標準主要根據(jù)是否為所有學生提供全面服務、該校學生是否適合大學的課業(yè)有所準備。除了排名以外，US News還為各個學校分了金牌、銀牌以及銅牌，奪得金牌的學校意味著該校對進入大學的準備程度最高。

今年華盛頓州共有9所學校奪得金牌，38所學校獲得銀牌、41所學校獲得銅牌。其中Bellevue學區(qū)內有3所學校占據(jù)了金牌。

今年排行榜的前十名內依然被亞利桑那州的頂級連鎖學院BASIS占據(jù)，BASIS的創(chuàng)始人是一對擁有博士學位的夫妻，因為不滿女兒學校的教育水平于是決定自己創(chuàng)立學校，目的是將學生的學術水平提高到國際最高標準。

BASIS旗下有許多公立學校以及幾所私立學校，由于國際學生是無法進入排行榜上的公立學校中就讀，因此許多中國小留學生會選擇申請BASIS的私立學校。

為了制作2018年最佳高中排名，US News & World Report今年與RTI International研究公司合作。有些公立高中因為規(guī)模太小無法分析，不得不被淘汰，因此數(shù)量也從28813所公立高中降到了20548所高中。

評估過程分為4個步驟

每個學校的學生的成績與表現(xiàn)是否勝過該州學生統(tǒng)計學的預期

評估學校對黑人、西班牙裔以及低收入學生是否達到或者優(yōu)于該州平均水平。

要求學校達到或超過畢業(yè)率基準

通過前3步評估的學校才有資格進行第4步全國性評估，主要考察大學預備表現(xiàn)，是否提供高質量的AP/IB課程等。

不過在評估過程中，South Dakota是唯一一個沒有在第4步給US News開綠燈的州，由于沒有學校AP數(shù)據(jù)，South Dakota的學校無法進行最后一步評估。

第4步會根據(jù)學校的AP/IB課程參與率以及考試率來計算出CRI數(shù)值——College Readiness Index。CRI最大值為100，也就是在2015-16年期間，每個12年級的學生都在某所學校接受并通過了至少一次AP或IB考試。

2018年全美平均CRI為21.51，US News會根據(jù)學校的CRI值將得分最高的學校評為金、銀、銅 3個級別。今年有26所金牌高中的CRI最高值達到100。
