澳洲本科生如何申請美國研究生

近些年的咨詢過程中，遇到不少澳洲本科在讀或已畢業，想申請美國碩士的學生。與美國不同，澳洲是英聯邦國家，學制通常是三年。澳洲的教育體制，在三年本科學士學位之上，碩士學位之下，設置了一年榮譽學士學位。澳洲是英語系授課國家，澳洲的申請者申請美國的時候，大部分情況下可以不用提交語言成績（托福或雅思），但是部分院校是不可以豁免的，例如麻省理工大學（All applicants whose first language is not English, including those currently enrolled in US institutions, must present evidence of their ability to carry on their studies in English），對于母語非英語的申請者，即使在美國本土完成本科學位，也要提供語言成績。申請過程中也會遇到其他問題，最突出的就是澳洲本科的成績與美國大學本科GPA之間的關系以及美國大學是否接受三年制本科。下面針對這兩各問題，一一解答。

美國和澳洲本科GPA換算

雖然美國大學以及其他學術機構并未直接給出澳洲本科成績與美國GPA成績的換算，但是通過英國院校碩士課程對各國GPA的要求，可以發現他們之間大致的對等關系。

劍橋大學

一等學位（First Class）要求美國3.7/4.0，要求澳洲first class/High Distinction/ 80%；二等甲學位（2.1）要求美國3.5，要求澳洲Second Class Division A/ Distinction/ 70%；

帝國理工

2.1 學位要求的碩士專業，通常需要美國GPA 3.5以上的成績，需要澳洲Upper Second Class honours以上的學位；

倫敦大學學院

2.1 學位的碩士專業，要求美國GPA 3.3以上，要求澳洲Second Class Division A，70%，或者6/7，

2.2學位的碩士專業，要求美國GPA 3.0以上，要求澳洲Second Class Division A

其中英國的愛丁堡大學官網上詳細的給出來英國學位與澳洲，美國以及其他國家成績的具體要求。

眾所周知，申請美國大學研究生通常最低要求GPA 3.0/4.0，申請美國前30的院校GPA 3.5左右才具有競爭力，所以，澳洲本科學位的申請者至少擁有均分65分以上的成績才能達到GPA 3.0的要求，申請top50 的院校均分70-74分之間，申請排名前20的院校均分在75分以上。

美國大學對三年制本科的要求

1??哥倫比亞大學

澳洲本科生，南加州大學只接受持有榮譽學位或者碩士學位的申請者，并且成績要達到B或者Credit 以上

International students who hold three-year ordinary pass degrees are not eligible for graduate admission

Applicants from a three-year bachelor’s program will be given due consideration.

總結

1. 對于澳洲四年制本科或者榮譽學位申請者成績至少要達到美國大學GPA3.0 對應的最低要求

2. 關于語言成績大部分學校可以豁免，但是申請之前一定要到學校官網核實

3. 澳洲三年制本科的申請者，在申請之前一定要跟學校溝通。雖然有些學校官網表示接受三年制本科，但是也不排除有部分專業不接受三年制本科學歷

4. 申請美國top 50 的院校，時間和精力充裕的情況下請參加GRE或者GMAT 考試（很多學校專業，即使是美國本土的申請者也要提供GRE/GMAT）。
