On Tuesday 20November, seven of the adult students from Home Sweet Home sat their Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE).Their results have now been confirmed and this week we were thrilled to present them with their certificates.All seven students passed, with one student gaining a Distinction at their grade level. Our team of dedicated Dulwich College students and parents will continue to practise English with them each week, now targeting the next GESE level.Genevieve and Alyssa (Year 10), who joined the service CCA this term, reflect on the experience of working alongside Home Sweet Home students:“We started this yearbeing uncertain about what Home Sweet Home would be like, but after the first lesson we grew a strong bond with the adults. Not only do we practise English with them, we find out about their hobbies. We laugh with them and have many other enjoyable moments together. However, the greatest joy is watching them be happy as they learn new interests.Home Sweet Homeis different from many other CCAs, because not only do you give back, but you gain so much more. InHome Sweet Home,we revise different levels of English, as we help prepare them for their external examinations, as well as allowing them to express their creative side through music, sports and art.”

11月20日（周二），來自Home Sweet Home的七名成年學生參加了英語口語等級考試（GESE）。目前，他們的考試成績已確認，本周我們很高興地向他們頒發證書。七名學生全部通過了考試，其中一人更是獲得了相應等級的“優秀”成績。我們盡心盡職的德威學生與家長團隊將一如既往地每周陪他們練習英語，并朝著下一等級的GESE目標而努力。
與Home Sweet Home的學生們共同學習的經歷可以瀏覽下文中Genevieve和Alyssa（10年級）的介紹，他們在本學期的課外活動中參加了此次服務項目：我們是今年開始參加這項活動的，期初并不了解Home Sweet Home是一個怎樣的地方。但上完第一節課后，我們與那兒的成年學員建立起了緊密的聯系。我們不僅陪他們練習英語，還挖掘出了他們的愛好。我們一同歡笑，一起度過了很多愉快的時光。不過，最大的欣慰還是看到他們因為學習了新的興趣項目而感到快樂。
Home Sweet Home與很多其他的課外活動不同，因為你在付出和回饋的同時，能夠得到更多。在Home Sweet Home，我們會復習不同等級的英語知識，因為我們需要幫助學員們準備外部考試，同時讓他們通過音樂、體育和藝術等形式展現各自的創造力。
我們為他們的考試成績和所取得的成就感到無比自豪！能夠成為這項頗有意義的社區合作項目的一份子是一件很棒的事，這能夠促成我們在實際生活中取得成功，也能給Home Sweet Home學生的未來工作申請帶來助益。
