Who doesn’t like to do fun classroom activities? The fifth and sixth grade students at SHSID were able to play various games at the Trivia Carnival during CAS time this past Thursday.

For most of the students, it was their first time taking part in the event. When the bells rang, students rushed to different classrooms for the fun games, including musical chairs, speed stacks, tongue twisters, and more! Some events were so popular that there were many enthusiastic participants. One of the students’ favorite games was the paper airplane station, which involved making a well-balanced plane out of A4 paper. If the students’ planes successfully flew to the appointed area five meters away, they won the game. To accomplish this goal, many participants were resilient and changed their model multiple times. Overall, it was a good opportunity to apply what they learned in Math class and think both critically and creatively.

At first glance, some games seemed easier than others, and students were often surprised at how much focus was needed for each task. When playing musical chairs, students were eliminated from the game if they lost concentration for even one second. To reward students for their hard work, all the winners received prizes for their efforts and achievements.

The overarching purpose of the Trivia Carnival is to provide an opportunity for students to compete in a fun atmosphere that both motivates and energizes them. Not only are the games engaging, interactive, and social, but they're also great tools for learning and growing both inside and outside of the classroom. We already can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!

很多同學(xué)都是第一次參加這么有趣的活動(dòng)，鈴聲一響就迫不及待地沖進(jìn)各個(gè)教室參與。活動(dòng)內(nèi)容多樣，其中不僅有搶椅子、繞口令等傳統(tǒng)項(xiàng)目，還有飛疊杯、顏色大戰(zhàn)、定向飛行等有趣的游戲。

到底現(xiàn)場(chǎng)有多熱鬧呢？讓我們跟隨同學(xué)們的腳步到現(xiàn)場(chǎng)一探究竟！男孩們最愛的紙飛機(jī)馳騁在定向飛行的賽場(chǎng)上。參加者要用一張A4紙制作飛機(jī)，必須兼顧平衡性、流線型，才能穩(wěn)穩(wěn)飛到5米外的指定“停機(jī)坪”，這對(duì)同學(xué)們的動(dòng)手能力與創(chuàng)造力是很好的鍛煉。

有些看起來簡單的游戲，其實(shí)也需要一定的技巧。比如說最簡單的搶椅子游戲，只要有一秒鐘走神就會(huì)被淘汰出比賽。要做好，沒有高度集中的注意力可不行，其實(shí)做每件事都如此。最終，所有游戲的獲勝者都贏得了小獎(jiǎng)品，以資鼓勵(lì)。

游戲不僅僅是為了好玩和社交，更是學(xué)習(xí)的好工具。游戲嘉年華，讓每個(gè)孩子在開心的活動(dòng)中實(shí)踐所學(xué)知識(shí)，“寓教于樂”意義就在于此，無比期待來年的嘉年華！
