This is the 2ndyear that ML Shanghai has hosted and ran its now annual Science Fair (SF). Each year, science students get into teams and collaborate to investigate a topic/research question of their interest.
這是上海楓葉國際學校舉辦的第二次科學展,每一年,科學課的學生會自發的組成小組,共同調查他們感興趣的科學主題。
They work tediously through the steps of the scientific method all semester to conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and make conclusions in regards to their chosen topic/question. Throughout the process, there were many trials, errors, difficulties, sets backs, tears and late evenings to work through, in order for them to complete their work.
在一整個學期里,他們嚴謹地遵守科學的方法和步驟收集信息,完成實驗,分析并總結關于他們課題的內容。為了完成最后的實驗,在這個過程中,學生們經歷了重重困難,在眼淚、挫折和無數個深夜里努力著,最終他(她)們成功克服了。
Science teachers worked collaboratively with students to provide guidance, and encouragement along the way. The Science fair was announced, and conducted on a chosen date during the semester.
科學課老師們幫助學生們一同完成他們的課題,他們經常鼓勵學生,為學生提供學術指導。最后,在老師和學生們的共同努力下,本屆科學展順利策劃并舉辦成功。
During the fair, science students presented their projects/research, while other schoolmates and teachers visited to see their displayed posters and/or PowerPoint presentations. The visitors asked questions regarding student’s projects, as well as voted for the top three projects that they were most impressed by.
在科學展里,學生們展示他們的研究成果,同時學校的老師和同學們前來觀看他們展出的研究海報和PPT并詢問他們關于研究內容的問題,還為自己所認為印象最深刻的三個研究課題投票。
The atmosphere, dynamics and energy at the science fair was good, resulting in a lot of pictures, videos and interviews throughout the fair, as students engaged in showing off their semester long work!
科學展的氣氛非常好,讓參與的每個人都躍躍欲試,因此當學生們在科學展上展示著他們這一個學期的研究成果時,我們想把科學展中的優秀學生作品、現場的照片和視頻呈現給大家,供大家了解。
