9月21日，國際部一年一度的運動會在清華附中的操場上如期舉行。“秋老虎”的高溫阻擋不住同學和老師們的熱情。運動場上學生們朝氣蓬勃、英姿颯爽，各項運動賽事如火如荼地進行；看臺上家長們熱情滿滿，長槍短炮記錄下每一個精彩瞬間。“無體育、不清華”，同學們在運動中享受腎上腺素的釋放、體驗公平競爭的意義，感悟團隊精神的力量。
On Saturday 21st September, the long-anticipated annual THIS Sports Day was held on the Tsinghua high school athletics field. Soaring temperatures couldn’t stop the enthusiasm of the THISers. The sporting field was full of vigor and vitality and various sports activities were in full swing. Parents in the stands were full of enthusiasm as well, with cameras recording every wonderful moment. "No sport, no Tsinghua" has always been a part of Tsinghua Spirit. The Sports Day offered students an opportunity to showcase their sporting prowess and to learn about competition and collaboration.
Terry Fox Run(義跑活動)*是運動會的第一個項目。國際部相信“行勝于言”的清華精神可以融入生活的方方面面，公益也不例外。癌癥研究對十幾歲的孩子來說略顯高深，但同學們希望通過自身行動，鼓勵和幫助那些需要的人，這就是國際部連續舉辦TerryFox Run的初衷。
The Terry Fox Run* was the first full school activity. THIS believes that ‘action speaks louder than words’, and public welfare is an important part of that idea. Although students have little knowledge of cancer research, they still hope to encourage and help those in need through their own actions. This is why THIS holds the Terry Fox Run annually.
注：Terry Fox Run是為了紀念加拿大“抗癌斗士”特里·福克斯舉辦的年度義跑活動。該義跑是一種非競技非商業的公益活動，捐款不設最低限額，籌得善款全部用于癌癥研究。
一聲令下，十二個年級的學生和全體老師沖出起點，跑道上留下了他們一圈圈的足跡和一串串清脆的笑聲。孩子們的善心，讓本次運動會更有深度，也讓這個世界更有溫度。
The race began with the signal of the judge, all students and teachers rushed out the starting point like the arrow off the bow. Sweet laugher echoed in the field.
國際部重新定義運動會的傳統模式，為小學部學生設計了十二個趣味運動項目。“貓捉老鼠”“呼啦圈接力”“拔得頭籌”“巧搭金字塔”，五花八門的名字背后是什么樣的活動，讓孩子們玩得樂此不疲？
THIS redefined the form of traditional sports day and designed twelve funny activities for primary students. “Mouse &cat” “hula-soccer relay” “capture the flag” “scooter relay cup stack”; these names don’t tell the whole story but they were designed for great fun and made our children so excited.
本屆運動會首次為學生家長開辟了一展身手的舞臺。拔河比賽上，爸爸媽媽紛紛換上運動裝，和孩子一起在綠茵場上揮灑汗水，重返青春。在國際部的大家庭里，不僅有良師益友的師生之情、朝夕相處的同窗之情，還有家校合作的優良傳統以及家長之間結下的深厚友情。
作為運動會的壓軸項目，每個班級都會抓住啦啦隊比賽的機會一展班級風采。本次比賽積極響應奧運精神，號召各班選擇一個奧運參賽國家，用獨具創意的口號、歌舞以及方陣為運動會加油助威。
After lunch each homeroom took part in the cheer competition to show their talent and team spirit. This year each grade level chose a country to represent- each of those countries are active participants in the Olympic Games. Students used unique slogans, songs and dances to cheer for the games.
感謝國際部的學生家長們，犧牲了寶貴的周末時光，為孩子們準備豐盛可口的午餐。

Tsinghua International School (THIS) was established by Tsinghua University a decade ago. It is an international school that seeks to meet the educational needs of Chinese overseas returnees’ children. It recruits students residing in or intending to reside in Beijing from foreign nationalities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. THIS is located in the century-old Tsinghua High School, next to the beautiful the Old Summer Palace.
